Don't over react to over eating.
So, you've made a small blunder in your diet. Treat it as a small blunder.
When you make a misstep, do not then give in to the temptation to throw in the towel all together. Just say, "Oops," and then do the next right thing. The mistake is not as important as what you do in response to it. Chalk up the incident to being human, forgive yourself, and jump right back on track.
Action for the day: Whenever you find yourself straying from your new healthy lifestyle, pause and ask yourself, "What is the next right thing to do?" Then, do it.

You are totaly right. It is more important how you react to the mistake than it is that you made a mistake.0
