I've been trying to work more planks into my routine and thought about taking up the challenge! http://www.fudiet.com/plank-a-day-revolution/
Has anybody else done it? How has it affected your body?

I hate planks with a passion but i've recently incorporated them into my routine also. I guess they are supposed to be the bomb! I'm up for a challenge, count me in0

I'll play.
How long do you have to hold the plank?0 -
You just hold it as long as you can and try to build it up every day.0

I've unintentionally been doing the challenge for ten days now. I can feel a huge difference in my lower to middle abdomen and I've been able to increase from a meager 20 second plan to 40 seconds so I know that I am improving.0

Sounds fun! I can do that. Its just one, right?0

I've been doing them only because Jillian makes me in Ripped in 30!! So...guess I'm in!0

I wanna play!0

I went into the website and it says that you can do the plank for as long as you see fit and to work towards making the plank longer as you start to get more comfortable.
I think this is a great idea and I am definitely going to give it a shot. Since I am a newbie with planks, I am going to start off with 2 15-second planks. Then work my way up to 1 30-second plank, so on and so forth.
The one thing that the website says to do is to watch your form, that way you don't hurt yourself.0 -
Okay, just followed the two founders on Twitter and like this whole idea. I could use it, my trainer had me doing some ab work the other day and I'm still incredibly sore. It's pathetic.0

I just incorporate planks into my lifting days at the end. I switch days between planks and other bosu core work. I do it at the end because my abs and core get a lot of work just squatting and deadlifting. I also do HIIT twice per week which gives me an awesome ab workout. If I don't have time for core work after my primary routine, I don't much worry about it...those abs are getting worked regardless, pretty much 5 days per week.0

I've been doing the plank everyday within my insanity programme0

Yay! I started a Thing! Let's all rock this together! Post your times as you do them!0

Ooooo, could I play, too?0

I love it! I'm in I did it mostly through March and then I got distracted and kept forgetting, I'll start doing them again tonight and see how far I progress!0

I'm in!!
I did one this morning, coincidentally and hit 60 seconds!!!! That seems unusual for me (I'm usually in the 40 second range), so I'm worried I had my form wrong and unfortunately my 7 month old isn't very helpful in correcting my form!! Will do it again tomorrow and see if I can get my husband to spot check my form for me.0 -

Okay, just did one for 15 seconds so I'm happy with that. My abs need a lot of work and my training session two days ago left them sore. It was a good way for me to see exactly which muscles get the benefits, they were loud and clear about it.0
