"Clean" eaters - question about size of meals

I have a question in regards to the 6 meals a day. What size meals are you guys keeping at? Mine seem to be around 6-7 ounces...maybe 4oz protein and 2-3oz veggies. Is that correct? I'm not hungry but just barely hitting 1200 calories on most days and I am guessing that is why I am stalling out.

it really all depends on what your goals are. i eat roughly 325-350 calories per meal 6 times a day. i wouldnt go by ounces, 2 cups of veggies is only 60 calories. most vegtables have so many nutrients, ur body actually burns calories just to digest them. i would get away from the ounces and just go with calories. its ok to switch it up and see what ur body responds too. you've already lost so much weight!!! ur doing great, keep it up.
check ur BMI just to see what ur "maintenance" calories should be at, then adjust from there depending on how active you are

I wouldn't call it "clean" , but I do eat whole foods, lean chicken, fish and eggs, nuts and dairy, no wheat, or processed food with the exception of my coffee creamer. I don't stick to any specific outline. I eat what I like when I want to eat it, and when I have eaten enough I don't eat anymore. I may have for lunch, 2 scrambled eggs, a 1 cup serving of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, or what ever other veggies I feel like that day. I also don't eat 6 meals a day. That causes me to stay hungry and makes me want to always be stuffing my face. I eat 2-3 meals, then if I need a snack I have a snack.0

I'm a body builder..I eat about 1300-1500 cal a day. I count macro's as well. Because I do a protein shake POST work out, I do keep each of my meals at least 200-300 calories. Also eat more veggies..they won't hurt you. Try the 4oz of protein and 4oz of veggies. You will feel fuller.
I hope that helps0 -
First of all - wowza and congrats on losing so much weight!!! I agree with Big Al that it's hard to go by ounces. I eat at least 6 times a day and my "meals" are anywhere from 250 to 500 calories, depending on how much I'm working out. I'm still losing weight. Not sure of your stats, but 1200 might be too low - I have had success varying my calories from day to day. There are days I eat 2500 calories (all healthy) and there are days I eat 1300. Really depends on my activity level and listening to my body.0

Thanks all - I still have a ways to go. I'm about 5'5 and 196lbs. I'm at the gym 4-5 times a week and just recently started getting more into lifting. I realized that my meals are averaging 200-230 cals. MFP is saying to take in closer to 1500 a day. I will check out that site and try your suggestions!0
