How much water do I drink to offset coffee?

I usually drink plenty of water during the day, but I also like to have a cup of coffee in the morning, for the caffeine. Since it is a diuretic, how much more water should I drink to compensate for the diuretic effect of about 10 ounces of coffee that I drink?

No problem. More recent studies have proven that coffee doesn't have a significant diuretic effect and can be counted as part of your water intake.0

As long as you're drinking enough water to "pee clear" (or light straw color) you're good. I drink up to a pot of coffee daily and don't have any trouble.0

I usually aim for a glass of water per cup of coffee, but I don't sweat it too much. Pee test is probably the best idea.0

If I have coffee, tea or a diet soda I'll offset it with 500ml of water extra.0

If you saw my diary you would see...I LOVE my coffee. I agree with this ^ as other than my AM cup I will not allow myself to have coffee unless I drink my water first. It is my way of ensuring I get my water in
I generally hit 9-10 8 oz waters (straight water not coffee / tea etc.) and I most likley have 6 or 7 cups of coffee (about 5 or 6 oz each) (all though not all consumed since it has to be hot) Coffee itself does not seem to make a difference in weight issues - just the creamers0
