edited January 20 in Health and Weight Loss
Hello! Back in January I decided to get in shape after a type II diabetes scare I had. I weighed 365 pounds at my heaviest. In the beginning, I had an intake of 1800 calories a day of health high protein foods and nothing but water or zero calorie vitamin waters to drink. I worked out three times a week, 30 to 40 minutes of cardio and 30 to 40 minutes of strength training. From Jan. 4 to March 27 I lost about 26 pounds. But since march 27 I can't seem to lose anything else. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, ect. I still eat about 1500 calories or so a day, not including the calories I eat a portion of to gain back the calories I lost during my workouts. I'm just so confused. Before I started to get in shape I ate 3500+ calories a day of junk food. Now I eat clean and healthy foods but I have stopped seeing the progress. It's really disheartening when I don't see any changes....Help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?

If you were losing at 1800 calories, why did you cut down to 1500? I would go back to 1800 for a few weeks. Have you calculated your BMR?

I did and I think it said it was around 2400 or so.

It that is your BMR then 1500 is definately too low. I would go back to 1800. I wish you all the best. You said you had a diabetes scare. That is serious, so I hope you can stay focused. There is a lot of support and information on this site.
