Hi Ladies!! So... it's my wonderful time of the month ( and all I want to do is eat junk food (anything super salty) and chocolate! EEEEK!! I know we all go through this along with the crankiness and everything else that goes along with it so, I need some help. What do you snack on when all you really want is a tug of Ben and Jerry's Chubby Hubby? Thanks!! xoxo

I love cherries and that's what I snack on.0

I have M&M's. I take out about 10 M&M's and have those. This usually helps me get through the craving.0

Hi.
Haaaaa I hate that TOTM but heho what can we do, have to live with it :grumble:
Anyway for me A warm cup of sweetened warm tea and toasts with strawberry jam. I know that toasts might not be the best diet wise but at least I fill rather full quickly.
I am also tempted by pasta, a make a huge plate a large shape pasta and try to eat them slowly.
Just a few days to go and you will be completly back on track!

I'm right there with ya, honey!! I've been craving carbs today, which is not good since Wednesday's is "breakfast day" at my office, and the things the 3 people for this week brought? Bagel, donuts, and cinnamon-swirl bread. AAAAUUUUUGGGGHHH!!!!
So far, I've managed to just have HALF of a glazed donut, but the last of the bagels has been calling to me......I'm thinking of eating my apple instead, hopefully fill me enough to make it the last hour or so....0 -
I eat Trader Joe's dark chocolate nibs. Each one is only 1 calories and full of taste. I have it along with a sweetend cup of hot tea.0

weight watchers and skinny cow has some YUMMY low fat/low cal ice cream if you are craving Ben and Jerry's! I prefer skinny cow brownie and chocolate ice cream!0

Those foods are tempting at the best of times...but when mother nature gives a knock...I hear your concern :flowerforyou:
There is nothing to stop you from having a little bit of what you fancy! Only if you can trust yourself to be good. How about some sweetish cereal to take the craving away?
I suffer more with PMT than cravings and become a maniac :explode: , angry:mad: , upset  emotional wreck during my TOM, but next time it comes around, I will make a conscious effort to record what I eat...as those cravings come to me now and again. :flowerforyou:
Don't give in though, because you will feel worse after...a little bit wont hurt...:happy:0 -
Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches are the bomb. They taste just like an ice cream sanwich and you get the Chocolate and Ice Cream craving over with.0

Core out an apple, sprinkle with as much cinnamon as you'd like - Heat in the microwave until soft (almost mushy). Add lite whip cream. Simple... but damnit its good!!0

I don't know if you have it where you are, but I like to chomp on some Jaffa Cakes, Jordans Fruit/Nut bars or even treat myself to one or two Fererro Roche balls! Snacks that are under 100-120 calories.
I don't deprive myself, so long as it's in small doses! :happy:0 -
I love the Jello sugar free pudding, I get decatent chocolate, chocolate mint and I also love the caramel creme. This takes care of my sweet needs.0

Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt. A square or two takes the edge off...0

I also crave chocolate at my TOM which is also right now so far this time I have done good. But the skinny cow chocolate brownie ice cream is excellent. I love it. I like to have it when I get the kids a treat.0

I find that if I am feeling like that I have a serving of the WalMart brand Mountain Trail mix. It satisfies both tastes, because it is a little salty and it has some M&M's in it.0

All of these are good suggestions...but if things are REALLY bad, and I simply MUST have something naughty, I give in. I just pick which one or two things it will be, drink a ton of water, and start over again right away. Usually I don't end up eating as much as I think I will. I also squeeze in an extra workout to compensate for the extra calories. Exercise helps cramps, anyway!
I'd also recommend that you don't weigh yourself again until several days after your TOM is over. This will allow any extra bloating/water weight to get out of your system.0 -

I love this and it's what I do when I have a chocolate craving.0
