Thats my goal. I'm 150 lbs and I want to get down to 120 lbs. And I've tried to do this before, but I always lose motivation. Any advice?

set your goals smaller and build on success, and stick to it, eat right and exercise

I'm just about to hit 30 pounds lost myself, 40-ish to go. I had to set smaller goals because the 70 or so was too overwhelming!! Seriously, celebrate the small victories! 5 pounds is amazing too!! Besides that, just try to be more active and be aware of your food choices. Simply keeping my house clean and counting calories has helped me a lot!! :) I was did a 5k in April and working towards a 10k in Oct.
  • Just try to keep the goal in mind. Once your clothes start fitting better it's more and more motivation to keep going! I started at 151 now i'm down to 131....you can totally do it!! And everyone here is here to support you!

    You can do it!!!
I did it (same goal) and lost the 30 lbs in 123 days. This site has been so helpful and encouraging. I am currently going for an extra 5 lb loss. Have one lb to go.
If I can do this anybody can!

Best of luck to you! :flowerforyou:

Your goal is almost identical to mine-- I started at 148lbs and I'm shooting for 120lbs. This site is very, very effective as long as you're honest with the numbers. The best advice I can offer is to not get discouraged, even when it seems slow-going-- I've had a week or two where I stayed steady or actually *gained* a pound for no reason that I could see, but then by the next week I was back on track again.
  • Thanks Everyone! Its nice to know I have support! What do you think my first goal should be? 10lbs?

I happy with every single pound :) But, I'd celebrate every 5. Pick up a bag of sugar, that's a fair amount of weight :)
