Water with slices of apple and cinnamon

So I am a bit of an addict for looking on the internet for ways of helping weight loss and on this one website it advises filling up half a jug with ice, sliced apple and 1 cinnamon stick and the rest just normal water will help improve you metabolism.

My question is, is it true or false?

Sounds pretty bogus to me, but on the other hand, it sounds like a nice way to flavour water, which is of course good to drink. Go for it for the taste, but don't count on any miracles.

I love a mug of hot water with lemon and cinnamon - but not because it is a "weight loss drink", which I highly doubt it truly is, but because I just plain love lemon and would eat it in everything if I could! If you think it sounds nice, give it a try - it might be a great way to make water even more more delicious :)

It's not going to make a noticeable difference in metabolism. If you like the way it tastes then go for it, but don't expect it to help your weight loss.

What you CAN do to improve your metabolism is to exercise.

Yep, building muscle mass is the way to increase metabolism, there are no short cuts to strength.
