Is gatorade necessary?

Once or twice a month I take a weekend to go dancing (usually swing) and rack up to about 15 hours or so dancing. These aren't consecutive (obviously) and sometimes I sweat, but generally not too much because they keep the rooms nice and cold. Should I be drinking gatorade or something to keep myself hydrated? I try not to drink or eat too much while I'm dancing because it makes me feel sick...

When I go mountain biking I always mix in sugar, salt and baking soda with my water in the right amounts. Eat some avocado for the potassium and other electrolytes when you're finished exercising. I'm sure gatorade is fine but it always gives me that bloated feeling. Just personal preference. When you excercise you're depleting all those resources in your body for energy so it's important to replenish them when you can.0
