If you feel you need a rest day then have one. If not just carry on. I had 2 rest days a week on a thurs and sun and I still had great results and I didn't even finish the program. I got about half way but lost a good few inches. x0

I tried to do the whole thing, but ended up hurting my knee, so had to take two rest days. I'm on Level 3 now though - and only took those two rest days.
I would advise take one if you are feeling really really sore. If you think you can carry on - do so! I ignored my knee, just thought it was twinging and I would get over it which was a BAD decision!0 -
I'm only doing it 3-4 days a week and run/walking 3 days. I have scheduled Sundays off from formal exercise. I plan on getting it in by gardening, yard work etc. I think it really depends on the person and your personal fitness level.0

I am just about to start Level 2 today. I have got as far as half way through level 2 before and things got in the way so I stopped. Unless you feel a lot of pain or think your going to injure yourself then do not stop! It's only 20 minutes a day and the more you stop, the more likely you are to quit. If you feel you are bored of it, why not take a day off the shred and do another one of her DVDs like burn fat boost metabolism or no more trouble zones. I have started adding these in to my shred also. Happy shredding :-) x0

It depends on how you feel... I did 30 straight (just finished it yesterday!!!)... If you feel that you can handle it, go straight through the 30 days. If you need a break once a week, take it. For me, stopping even one day would've caused me to take more break days. Therefore, I probably would've never finished it. I even did it on the day I was sick... Of course I couldn't put the full effort into it, but I tried it. I didn't finish it that day, but I still counted that as a day since I tried it.0

I finished it with no rest day, but I guess that because I really wanted to PUSH myself. I did it for the whole month of January. I do remember my knees would bother me some days but usually the next morning it would feel a ton better. :-)0

I had to take some days off halfway through the program because my knees were really acting up. I would recommend taking at least one day off. I am doing her body revolution now and she had Sundays as a rest day, but I also take off Wednesday because I have work and school that night (and a 3-yo!) so listen to your body and decide what you think is best. I still had amazing results!0

despite the name, it's not meant to be done daily. 3-4 days a week, tops.0

First time I did it I would have two rest days a week. If you search teh forums there are links to JM herself saying that you should do 2 days, 1 day pure cardio, 2 days, 1 day pure cardio and then a complete rest day.
Do what works for you but at least two rest days a week, I did 30 days and lost 7 inches, just started again (level 1 day 3 today) and I'm doing similar, I'll certainly be having one complete rest day a week.
I like giving myself a chance to 'heal' otherwise I'd end up hating Jillian even more than I did, the results are worth it though!0 -
I do it 30 days non stop because if I take a rest day I will take more than one and honestly I know myself that ill maybe quit and lose motivation. So I just wake up every day get my work out clothes on and do it. Today is Level 2 Day 2 (day 12) so I'm almost done! Good luck and feel free to add me if you want some support.0

Always good to give yourself a rest day to allow your muscles to recover, maybe go for a brisk walk on your rest day so you don't feel like you're slacking off. That's what I do on rest days so that I don't lose motivation.0

I started april 1st. I took a rest day on sunday and now I just got bored with the same thing everyday so I do it every other day and then JM kickboxing or kettlebells on the other days. NOT the JM kettlebell video though.
TIll I get to L3 then I'll finish doing that everyday0 -
where will i find the link to JM herself0

People have posted on the forums here that she has said that in interviews.
