I FEEL SKINNY

You know, I am not in denial....I know I still have a good 140 lbs to lose, I know I can do it....but have you ever woke up and although you know and can see you are still overweight, you feel skinny?
Its funny because I know I have a long ways to go but now that I am actually taking control and doing something about it, so the little loss that I have had, has me feeling skinny.....
Its real motivating....
I know alot of people overweight deal with alot of emotional stress and insecurity...Not saying that I dont, but I read a book by Beth Moore called "SO LONG INSECURITY" and it really helps with those inadequate feelings that we have deep inside about ourselves and it also helps learn what got us to where we were so insecure to begin with to let go of our lives.
Yes food is awesome...Yes it taste good....Yes it is very comforting to eat; however, we all know that its not the taste of food that brought us to being overweight....alot of people will say it is, but those who are taking back their lives, learn that there are much deeper issues such as divorce, marital unfaithfulness, unruly kids, physical abuse, etc....very traumatizing things in life that we just dont know how to handle so we turn to find comfort and most of the time, its food we turn to because food dont argue back, food dont disagree, food dont do anything but make you feel fulfilled.....
so with that said....we should always look at the bright side.....
no matter how many times we fall, no matter how many times we bump our head, no matter how many times we eat something not right....look at your achievements and accomplishments and always turn the negative into a positive...
i know I am not skinny as of this moment, but I will be skinny and every morning I wake up I feel skinny.....:)
and for anybody that loves to read, i recommend Beth Moore, "SO LONG INSECURITY".....

I always think of it as being happy with who and what you are, but never content and always try to make yourself better0

I lovelovelove waking up and feeling skinny. Sometimes I put on a certain outfit and I feels so thin. It's a great state of mind and I try to stay that way as often as I can. Good for you!0

I totally get that feeling. I have felt like a skinny girl trapped in a "fat suit" for most of my adult life. I think that's a good thing. Then when we finally reach our goals, so won't have a complex and think that we're still overweight. Finally our brains will match our bodies!0

I still have a long way to go myself. I have also, Bestfriend, of 20 years, she knows it now. All of my family, friends and I have even been on the radio twice in the last month, promoting weight loss for truckdrivers and telling my weight. I HAD to admit that number, of 255lbs, before I could deal with it. I love to try on something out of the closet and say, NO MORE, your to big! Everytime I get dressed now I think, you look so much better now! I needed that self confidence to get this going. I had pretty much made up my mind I was going to be obese, forever. And I still am. But now it's by 20lbs, not 76lbs. I almost have caught up with my driver license. For years it has said 190lbs, even though I was 230lbs-255lbs. Who was I kidding, MYSELF! FEEL SKINNY, YOU DESERVE TO! 16lbs, if your like me, is a hell of a accompishment! The more the scale goes down, the more motivated I get. My goal weight was 150lbs, I now see it going lower! Keep up the good work!0

Sometimes I wake up feeling that way. I think it has to do with the muscles in my stomach being tighter, it feels good. I have a long way to go but I know as long as I work at it, I'll get there eventually.0

I had a hysterectomy in octobery...when i stepped on the scale and it read 304 lbs, i wanted to die....i was in extreme denial at that point....i blamed health, i blamed everything and its momma on why i was so big...not once did i blame myself....
I have never been honest with anyone about my weight....i look big but not as big as the scale says so i was in denial about that as well...
it is a constant reminder now to me though because I have 3 daughters who need their mommy....they need me to be able to chase them, especially my 2 almost 3 year old who is very "HYPER"....
I have lost 16 lbs since joining this site but I am down 28 lbs from my surgery date...i can feel a BIG difference and can see a difference now...that in itself is encouraging since for years i had every excuse known to man as to why i couldnt do it....0
