TY all who helped to decide how to go about the greek yogurt option after a bad first experience (free sample because it was new) in a store when it first came out. To avoid the above mentioned reaction I opted to not go the plain with fruit added. Instead I chose Oikos Caffe Late and after first taste I was not disgusted but I did think it needed a little help. I added some finely shaved dark chocolate and some chopped hazelnuts and it was FREAKING AMAZING!!! I will not buy the other yogurt again. Yes is was 1 dollar a container compared to 50 cents for the recent ones I was eating. But you can get a 4 pk for discounted price. I am going to have a load of tasty fun trying new flavors and adding my favorite things to them to make them amazing.

Oikos Caffe Latte Greek Yogurt
3 squares Green & Black's 85% Dark Chocolate
1/8 cup Chopped Hazelnuts

Nice! I need to keep trying greek yogurts until I find one I like. So far I haven't liked the flavor but I might steal one of my fiancee's with fruit to try sometime!

If you like chocolate and coffee try the one above. I didnt get any reduced fat it was full fat content and was so rich and creamy I swear if I froze it, it would be like eating...well it would be frozen yogurt HA!

    I like to mix:

    black cherry with almonds
    coconut with mini chocolate chips
key lime with crushed graham crackers

Can't wait to try the choc/hazlenut combo.

I love the idea of coconut and choc chips. I am so going to try that for snack tomorrow.

Healthy Choice actually makes Frozen Greek Yogurt. No Chocolate though. It comes in Vanilla, Strawberry, Raspberry, or Blueberry. It's really good and they come in individual containers as a set of 3. Only 100 calories.

Also, buy full fat yogurt and not nonfat. The flavor is completely different, as you might expect.

Have you tried Fage brand, full fat? It's seriously amazing. I have a friend who refused to eat any yogurt, greek or otherwise, except Yoplait Custard vanilla flavor. Once I convinced her to try Fage strawberry, she bought an entire case of it, saying it tasted like strawberry cheesecake. My favorite flavor is cherry, but it's a little out of my price range currently, sigh.

19g of sugar. Yikes. Well, as long as you like it... I'd agree to go with full fat too. I go non fat but I like the flavor and I eat so much of it I could never fit the full fat stuff in my diet.

We like the Cabot Greek yogurt. The full fat plain is so creamy and rich half a helping is plenty. It's also very close in flavor and consistency to sour cream so is great to cook with.

Full fat yogurt is yogurt. Non-fat yogurt is often an amalgam of stuff you might not really want to be eating so make sure to read the labels before choosing non-fat, low-fat, or "lite" products.

Not true. As long as you go with plain, there's nothing chemical in most of them. It just uses low fat milk instead of full fat milk (and I checked, they don't have more sugar either).
