So many kinds, it's overwhelming!

Hey all,
I'm looking into purchasing a HRM, and after browsing, everyone reccommends a different one! I need one, thats pretty basic, but still has some "fanciness" to it.
I'd like one that can tell me how long I'm in my target heart rate range, what my current heart rate is, and also my calories burned.
I'd also like to stay between $80-$130ish if possible. Please let me know what you think is best!
Thanks much!

I just asked this 2 weeks ago and the 2 that people on MFP go for are the Polar F6 or FT7 or the Garmin 305 Forerunner. The former is the one most recommended for its battery lasting 2 years and the accurate readings. Hope that helps0

I just got the Polar FT4 on Monday, does everything you want it to do, and I walked out of the store paying $96 after tax.0

I got the polar FT7, really like the option of syncing it with the website.0

I ordered FT4, too! (should be delivered on FridaY)
There was this blog post from a while back, seems very informative. I wish I read it before choosing my HRM, but I think for my purposes it will still be ok.

I got my Polar FT4 on ebay (new in package) at a very low price. I waffled between that and the FT7, but figured for the large price difference the FT4 would work just great for my first HRM (and it DOES, I love it!!).0

I love my Polar F6...it's easy to operate but has some neat options!0

The Polar F6 does everything that you said you were looking for. It's around $100 dollars at most sports good stores, but you could probably get one online for around $80.0
