Ladies - Help with wonky cycles

Hey ladies,
I'm down 18 lbs since 2/11 and I feel great. I'm working out 7 days a week and my calorie intake is between 1300-1600/day for the most part.

My only issue? My cycles are TOTALLY messed up. I'm on the birth control pill and for the last 2 months my period has come one week early (week 3 instead of 4). Now I'm in the 3rd month and I'm on week 2 and I've started spotting.

Did anyone else experience this with the pill when you started working out and losing weight?

To add to the issue, I have Hashimoto's Disease (thyroid disease) I know that when I gain/lose weight, it affects my hormone levels, which would in turn affect my cycle, but I figured being on the pill would regulate all that.

Just looking to see if anyone has experienced anything similar.
Thanks in advance!!

There has been a BC recall due to increased number of placebo pills per pack. Are they those ones?

I had that when I changed my diet...eventually my body adjusted to the "new normal"

Just googled - I'm American, not Canadian where the recall is, so I think I'm ok

Here is what I would do:

Get off the pills (I hate any form of hormonal BC)
Start temping (go on fertility friend and start reading up, make sure youre ovulating)

I dont know how well that will help. Just what I would do.

I had that happen myself. For me I had seen a correlation to spotting and sugar/alcohol/soy for that week. I've only just started to remove those - sugar as in overeating (natural or minimal was fine), alcohol - could not have 1 drink and have that rule starting the Saturday before the spotting week. soy - had to remove all and even had to check a vitamin with it. My gyn was certainly confused by it (the correlation) but he just gave me extra estrogen for that week this last year and it didn't stop the issue. This was the first month that I didn't have the extra spotting by doing those checks.

I can have soy the week before or week after with no issue but that one week I can't.

Uhh yeah...no. Obviously you don't have thyroid disease.
I read TCOYF and am pretty much an expert on the whole FAM. I used it successfully to avoid pregnancy for about 4 years. Then BAM, thyroid went wonky and I got pregnant with my first. Will not ever rely on that for BC ever again. Endo agrees.
