Yay! They did it. I haven't added any recipes yet, but I wonder if you can share added recipes with friends. I gotta play with this, I got so many recipes I cook on a regular basis.... OK, just bringing it to everyone's attention. I'm excited about it, like the only thing I wished they would add~ And They Did ~ Thanks MFP

Very cool! Thanks for the FYI!! Funny because I used Sparkpeople this morning to figure out the calories in a pasta salad my DW made last night. Had I known we had the recibe builder on here I would have used that... aweomse stuff!

I just saw this today too---very excited to use it. It will definitly make entering foods in here a lot easier and quicker! I think it has an option to share recipes with the whole site just like it has the option to share foods that you enter in.

There is an option to share your recipes, but because we currently have so few recipes available, we haven't created the ability to actually browse/search through other people's recipes. For now, you can only see your own recipes. If you've elected to share your recipe, it will be visible in our recipe database once we have enough recipes shared to open it to everyone.

So if you'd like to see the shared recipe database available sooner, make sure to share your recipes!

It's funny because just last week I decided to look up a bunch of recipes and try my hand at cooking. So the other day after making a couple of these I was thinking that a personal recipe tool would be perfect. Definitely tedious entering all the info and then figuring out the decimal for how much of the meal I was going to eat! Looks like I picked a good time to start cooking more.

wow! thanks for the heads up! this is splendid!!!

ETA: I just added a recipe. wow, this is awesome. Much more user friendly than spark people, I think. And it will be so much easier to just enter it once here at MFP, and have it ready to use!

I love that I can go back and edit it after, although, I would love it if I could edit the ingredients already added, but I can't really complain.

    You guys rock!!! thank you!
  • What did you find out about this? I love trying out new recipes. I've posted a few on my blog that you're welcome to check out. http://www.marlafinley.com.
