under my calorie diet

I have dietplan on my phone that I go by. On what I need to eat. Like yesterday I was supposed to eat for a snack tea and lemon without the sugar. That is nasty....then for before dinner snack I am supposed to eat plain yogurt with two dried apricots. I can't eat plain yogurt. No taste no flavor to it. For dinner I had a small porckchop with peas no rice. I can eat small portions but what kinds? What can I not eat besides bread?.....It always says that I am under my calorie diet which is 1200 The dietplan is exactly 1200 but the foods I can't eat unless it has some taste to it.

Why can't you make your own diet?

Spend awhile with a food/nutrition database -- either this one, or one like the one at nutritiondata.com, which isn't good for tracking (IMO) but is easier to use to look up individual foods (IMO). Either find replacements for stuff you don't like in the plan you're following, or make your own plan.

If you don't like so many of the foods on a chosen plan, then it's not a good plan for you?

    Tea isn't a snack; it's a drink.

Agreed! (by the way IIFYM = if it fits your macros = if you have enough calories left for a burger, have a burger)

While I definitely cleaned up my food choices quite a bit, I've lost nearly 90 pounds eating pizza once a week, having a piece of chocolate just about every day, etc. I just lowered my portions and made better choices on ingredients. No need to starve yourself or force yourself to eat things you can't stand. Why torture yourself?!

Go ahead and eat those foods you enjoy, just change things up a little. If you like italian food, pick the healthiest pasta you can find, limit your portion, make homemade sauce, use low fat cheese and leaner meats. Pick grilled chicken instead of fried. Get your dressing on the side. Drink lots of water. Etc, etc.

this sounds very good to do. Now I have the foods that I bought from the store what am I going to do with it? I think I can give it someone who does like it. Thank you so much.

i would also suggest figuring out what your true calorie needs are. When you put in your goals through MFP, do not say you want to lose 2 lbs a week. Set it for 1 lb per week max and eat back all exercise calories if you want to go that route, or you can look into the Road Map 3.0 and figure out your BMR and TDEE and eat between those two numbers. best of luck!

try planning out your day in advance on MFP. So go to Saturday on your food diary. Enter in foods from the database and pick the foods you want but make them fit within your goals. It might be time consuming at first, but it will get easier.
