Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I've been counting calories here for a while but am new to the forum. I hope I'm on the right track. My starting weight was 318, I'm down to 289 in 4 months. I really want to get below 200. I read somewhere that it's almost impossible to get below your lowest adult weight. My lowest adult weight was 198, and that was after starving myself for weeks and taking stacker. I don't know, maybe I can beat the odds. I already have more energy and that was my main goal when I started.

Welcome to MFP! I have never heard that before. I would think that if you want it bad enough and work really hard, you can achieve any success you want. I used to tell people that my body was most comfortable at about 220 - 230 lbs because I had been that weight for about 20 years. I am down below that now (212) and I want to keep going.
You have done incredibly well for 4 months (longer than me). Keep it up!!! Whatever your doing is really working for you.
There is a lot of good information on the forums. Definitely fun to visit and comment. I have met a lot of neat people just by sticking my head out there and introducing myself.
Continue working hard!0 -

Hi and welcome to MFP, this is a great site for support and information as well as a fantastic tool to help you on your journey. I have not heard that about the adult weight barrier before. I do know there is so much misinformation about weight loss that it can overwhelm someone.
Even if it is true there are always people that defy the norm and you can be one of those people!0
