Is it just me or have people been posting a ton of high calorie, high fattening food recipes lately?

Yes they have. I have actually changed a couple of them so that they are lower in fat and carbs and they still taste amazing.0

You still have facebook?0

I just had to hide a bunch of people on my FB because they kept posting these amazing foods that I would seriously indulge myself on till I threw up. x_x0

I've noticed a lot a food and recipes on FB, most posted over from Pinterest. I just skip over them. I hadn't thought of blocking the people who post them. I wish I could block some other people for other reasons, lol, but you can't block your inlaws without getting in trouble, LOL!0

You can change what/who shows up in your news feed easily, without blocking contact or un-friending them.0 -
This page has lots of healthy posts, and she is an MFP member, too:

I have noticed the same thing. I have a friend who asked people to stop posting them as she was trying to lose weight. I don't think they listened though.0

You can hide people from your newsfeed, you know. Or change their settings to "Only Important".0

I have blocked most of my in-laws, lol. I don't need the drama associated w/there crazy a$$es.
I have 'liked' a lot of fitness and healthy eating pages so I really don't see many bad recipes.0 -
Yes, I have as well. Today a friend posted a Butterfinger cake that has almost 600 cals and 69gr sugar per serving. I changed it to a sugar free version with only 80 cals. Now I will have to try it out to see how it tastes.
The original recipe called for a jar of caramel sauce mixed with a can of Eagle brand milk, and poured over a yellow cake, then covered in cool whip, then sprinkle 4 broken up butterfinger bars over the top. Seriously??0 -
I hate it when this happens. Been trying to ignore it when I see it and just sip another cup of coffee.0

Too many luscious recipes!! I just look and go on...I know I am doing what I need to do....ignore them!!!0

I used to regularly visit Serious Eats website, but so often the recipes are like, how much fat can we stuff into the dish? It became hard to tell that website from thisiswhyyouarefat.com. Anything will taste pretty good with a stick of butter on it!0

that is funny0

Hmm, I do not know. I do not really use facebook unless I have to communicate with a phoneless friend.0

Not everyone cares about health like we do...0

Haha! This is starting to become my new Facebook.0 -
I gave up on FB , MFB saves me more of ME0

I've noticed the same thing. It's usually my friends who are trying to lose weight, which is kind of sad. Pinterest recipes seem to always have a lot of fat to them, or at least that's what everyone is posting.
If I come across tasty, healthy recipes, I'll post them up in an attempt to share. When I see the fattening crap other people post, my reaction is usually to gag and keep going. Since making these healthy changes, that kind of stuff just really doesn't appeal to me very much at all.0 -
I haven't had Facebook for over a year. It's been good that way. However I haven't stopped posting pictures of food or recipes on my blog. I make whatever I want and just let other people eat it. My blog is actually probably the worst place for someone who is trying to lose weight. I have a habit of posting gifs of fast food, cheese and pictures of monstrous food. Man vs Food style lol. I love it. I just don't eat it. It's called willpower. Plus I kind of get pleasure out of torturing myself.0

I'm getting light headed just reading that....0

I have noticed the wonderfully sinful recipes on facebook lately and my reaction to is....if it looks amazing, I share it so it will show up on my page for a special day when I want to treat myself or my family. Also...the smarter me has found some great healthy recipe sites and added them to my facebook, so now I can share amazing but not sinful recipes myself!!!0

What is myspace?
I agree with a couple of you. FB is a thing of the past for me too. Since I've given up "checking it every 20 minutes"....all of a sudden I have this extra time on my hands. I guess I just grew tired of all of the narcissist behavior.
I'll pass on the butterfinger cake too. :sick:0
