As some of my friends on here know I have been on and off my weight lose journey for quite some time now. I just cant stay motavated... Between the low self asteem and the on and off depression I find myself loosing my way alot. I want to lose the weight and I want the body I haved alwayse dreamed of, but knowing my past motavation and the fact that dispite my meny atempts to look my best Im still 250+ pounds. I give up to easy even if I try my best theres not really anyone to keep me motavated... I mean sure I have myfitnesspal but it still takes the comitment to log on every day, the comitment might I add that I just cant get myself to stick to. I am on track for a wile then somethng happens like a holliday roles around and I get depressed because I feel that I will never have children to shair it with (i have pcos) or things are not going as well as I hoped and my weight stays the same, or the daily comitment of working out starts taking its tole on me and I get so frustrated and down in the dumps that I feel like its eaiser to just give up. I have such bad self esteem and such love self image and barly any self worth that when I fail I take it twice as hard I cant stand it I feel so down on myself and I know that the only thing that will help is to reach my gole but its also the very thing stoping me from reaching my gole. I dont understand how people can do it and stay comited to it especially people that have so much holding them back like I do.

Hey there You know what you want, to lose weight to feel better, look better, be healthier, maybe to fall pregnant, all those positive things that might happen once you lose weight. I guess these are all great reasons - but sounds like you haven't yet had that MOMENT when you just think - this is IT. I know I gained weight over the years and my family worried about me, I hated the way I looked - even joined MFP in July 2011. Didn't do anything about it.
Until I had my MOMENT (just after Christmas 2011 I hit 98 kgs and thought I am NOT going into triple figures) and then I thought that is IT I am going to do something. Using MFP has been the best thing for me, I have learnt a lot more about what I was eating, portion size, getting some exercise, and logging every day. Not perfect by any means, but I lost weight that I thought was there for the rest of my life.
When you feel you are worth this, then you will do it. You will log every day, you will think about your choices, you will aim for better choices, you will get a little bit of exercise. It does take commitment. Being married takes commitment. Being a parent takes commitment. Losing weight and gaining health takes commitment.
Motivation comes from yourself. Good luck, just start today. Now, this very minute, log what you ate for breakfast. Lunch. Snacks. Dinner. Look at the things you ate. Anything you think you could change for the better? Drink lots of water. Go walk around your backyard, or dance.

The best advice I can give you is to just take it one week at a time. I've been on this site since october 2011 and have lost 22 pounds at one point. This site really does work if you stick with it, it just takes a lot of discipline. You've got to keep those calories at your set limit daily and going 100 calories over sometimes is ok. Don't push it by exceeding more than that though. I think it took me about 2 and a half months to lose that 22 pounds. Focus wayyyyy more on keeping your daily calories at your set limit than working out and you will see results, but be patient because it takes one week to lose a pound or two. After about a month of using this site, it's possible to see 7 or 8 pounds come off. Just think if you were to go a full year, that could be 84 to 96 pounds gone! It's definitely possible, you just have to want it! You can do it! Good luck.. Don't forget to log your drinks. Juice, soda or whatever also have calories in them and need to be logged along with your foods and snacks. Try to avoid soda though lol.0

Thanks guys. I have taken baby steps such at switching form regular country farms butter to Light I cant belive its not butter, switching to natural peanut butter, I have stopped drinking pop and when we go out to eat I have ice tea, I eat grapes insted of potato chips, I switched from regular white bread to hole grane oat bread. There all small things and Im not sure if they all will work. I went on the slim fast diet 2 summers back but it made me gain the weight. I dont really know what other small changes to make, I know that the small changes will add up and I hope that they lead to bigger ones. I want to try to get back on my zumba secdual (I have it for the wii) But I have been off so long Im just not sure I can handle it. Last night I tryed to find a weight loss journal that I could print off and keep handy as anouther reminder, also I made a scedual that I will start monday. I want to ba 20 pounds lighter by auguest 6th.0
