I rarely get colds but this has knocked me for six. Still suffering after two weeks. How long is it going to last. Fed up of not being able to exercise properly.

I had that in February. It's the reason why things slipped up concerning food and exercise. Took me just over 3 weeks to feel back to myself and able to go to the gym. The cough lasted longest and meant that if I walked anywhere faster than a stroll I would start wheezing and coughing... It knocked me for six and I didn't eat for 4 days - 2 of those i was trying not to throw up plain water! It seems so many people have had it too. If you don't feel any better go to the doctor. My husband thought it was just taking too long to go but he had laryngitis!

Think I'm getting it now! Throat hurts, feel very lethargic, ear doesn't feel right. Several of my friends swear by A. Vogel Echinacea drops, thinking of getting them to ward it off. Hope you feel better soon.

Yep, earlier this year had it twice in a month because i never gave myself a chance to rest the 1st time.
My advice rest up and keep cold and flu tablets and fluids to hand!
    Hope you feel better soon.xx

I had it in March and it lasted for 3 weeks, I was getting really worried! I ached all over every day for 2 weeks and felt worse rather than better each day which was worrying, but after the 3rd week, I suddenly realised I felt a bit more normal. I tried to rest as much as possible and took vitamin supplements. The cough and rough chest wasn't much fun.
Take care of yourself, and rest up, wishing you a speedy recovery. :flowerforyou:

Same here, and I know lots of people who also got it twice within a few weeks. Not fun.

At times like this when you're out and about you realise just how few people actually cover their mouths when they are coughing, no wonder things keep going back and forth. OP and anyone else who has it hope you all feel better very soon!!
  • Nope. I think I scare illness away. It doesn't tend to mess with me much. Either that or germs stay away from Wiltshire. Either is possible.

Don't be over confident. I'm normally the same.

I'll try to temper my confidence. Never good to be over confident.....
