I have ordered my groceries online a couple of times now, I think that I have determined that I like it a lot because I never have to go down the candy, soda, chip, baking isles lol. It is a lot easier to only buy healthy foods.

I have ordered from Safeway.

*Grocery (noticed after posted, oops)

    How do you do that?

Go online to your local grocery store. I use Safeway but you can probably find some in your area on Yelp. I know there is Amazon Fresh that is pretty big too. There are several companies that do it. :D

I get mine delivered every week, helps me plan meals and budget and as you say, I don't have the issue of impulse buys of junk!

I couldn't do that since I want to pick all the produce myself and that's almost all that I buy.

I'm the same, 80% of what I buy is meat and veg and I need to be able to hand pick that myself.

I buy all the boring staples (rice, tinned tomatoes, toilet paper etc ) on line and go and pick the fresh stuff myself. Best of both worlds. I just don't go down the aisles with junk in them.

I live in New York City and use Fresh Direct. Their meat is good quality so I never worry about that. Produce can be a bit more iffy but they are good at issuing credits if you email them with a complaint about quality. My main issue with their produce is that it's super green/underripe, but I did get a salad mix recently that was past the sell-by date and was half disintegrated--no thanks! They were super apologetic about that one.

I am very picky about my produce as well but they do surprisingly well at giving me the freshest stuff! A lot of the time it is even better than what is available for me to pick out off the shelf!

Amazon Fresh is suppose to be amazing with their produce and vegetables. I haven't used it because it is a bit pricey but I have heard wonderful things about it! So that is an option for ordering fresh foods online.

This! I tried Peapod once (Giant) and never again. Half of it wasn't ripe and the other half was over ripe and bruised. I'd rather do it myself.
