I've just upped my calories to 1300 as I've been yo-yoing between 131/130 for the past 3 weeks. I'm just curious how much other people who are the same height as me eat and what their activity level is set to, how much weight they lose a week and how much exercise they do... :flowerforyou:
ETA: Please no 1200 wank !

mines set at 1200 for sedentary because i work 10 hrs shifts at a desk job but i tend to eat back atleast some of my exercise calories...i generally try to stay between 1200 and 1300. ive lost 2 lbs so far in 2 weeks so not amazing but i dont have a lot to lose so i dont really expect it to come off quickly.
im currently doing turbofire so about an hr of exercise a day ive estimated (from research online) the calories for the beginner classes (which im still on) at about 300 ish a day....i just ordered an hrm to make that more exact lol.0 -
1lb a week is great!0

1800 is my tdee - 10%
Moderately Active
Depending on how long you have been cutting calories you might want to eat at maintenance for a month or so, getting past 128 was the hardest for me. I was stuck there for 8 months. (But I had also shot my metabolism from eating 800 - 1200 cal a day and exercising my butt off, not eating exercise cals)
Lose ~1 a week (CW: 120 ---> 114
I have High School, plus walking/running my dogs before / after school. Sometimes I will do 30 Day Shred, some other Jillian workout or P90X but I don't have a schedule or anything.0 -
can someone tell me what bump means?!
I'm a 5"2 girl and in the obese BMI category
I'd love some friends to help me on my 3 month plan to show off in a bikini by July, anyone trying a similar thing?!0 -
Hey! I am 5'3 on a good day so I totally count, right?
I am maintainin now (not counting the few pounds I yo yo up and down). I am 130. To loose I go down to 1400 and eat back every single calorie I burn. I am a runner and am usually training for a half marathon so I eat ALOT!!!! To maintain I bump my base up to 1700. I still lose when I am running alot when I have a base of 1700.
I think macros are just as important as the calories. I stick to 40% carbs, 30% fat/protein. Again, I am a runner so I need my carbs.
I have a medium to large frame and don't want to get below 125 because I look skeletal. Actually I get that I look too skinny at this point because I have a quite a bit of muscle. I am around 20% BF.
Hope that helps!0 -
I'm 5' and doing 1595 calories, sedentary. I don't eat back my exercise calories.0

5ft 2, 150lbs, 1758 cals a day and doing Insanity (I don't add exercise cals at this level, they're already included).0

Well, you admit you know it's unhealthy, but do you know you will gain the weight back when you eat 'normal' again? Right? Also, you are lacking proper nutrition, so be prepared for your hair to start falling out.0 -
I'm 5ft. Was eating 1305 and lost 22lb last year.
Now using fitbit & the 5:2 diet. So 500kcal on the fast days and 1300-1700 on none fast days. x0 -
I'm 5' 1". I am set at 1230 cals a day. (set by MFP) I usually burn 200-500 cals per day from workouts and I always eat them back. Losing weight but very slowly. Right now my issue is not knowing what a good goal is for me. I'm not sure what I should be aiming for goal wise...I have it set to 118 lbs as a goal now but I'm not sure...0

I'm 5'2.5", I net between 1500-1600, and typically gross between 1800-2300, depending on the day. Haven't been seeing many changes on the scale lately, but my measurements have been changing and I generally feel leaner and stronger.0

I am 5'2" and weigh 140 lbs right now. My caloric goal is set at 1750 and I almost always eat that amount plus some of my exercise calories. I am doing turbofire so on cardio days it is usually about an hour of exercise and I burn roughly 400 cals per workout. (probably more but I don't have a HRM). I have been eating about this amount from the beginning and am losing an average of 1.5lbs/week with this. I would suggest upping your calories even more if you are stalling...sometimes that is the only way to break a plateau.
Any of you ladies feel free to add me. I log daily and would love more support and support you as well!0 -

5'1" 1850 cals/day for a slow cut (currently maintaining and not tracking and probably eating between 1900-2000 cals/day). I went from obese to a healthy body fat percentage on 1500 cals/day
short =/= can't eat much
aiming to be strong right now0 -
5'2 and eat 2000-2200 for maintenance and lose at around 1800. I'm active though, I lift and run.0

28yrs
5ft 2
Jan 133lbs
April 120lbs
Currently eating 1670 calories. I work out at the gym 3x a week doing a bit of cardio and super-sets with the barbell and TRX
I am losing about 1lb per week, but I will be upping my calories soon as I don't want to lose too much more weight.
Upping my calories has definitely helped!0 -
I'm 5' 3", with a small frame. I have MFP set at sedentary so I can log all my exercise, including things like vigorous housework and raking the lawn, but I don't count general every day activity.
I manually set MFP at 1000 calories and I eat back all my exercise calories. I started at 134 at the beginning of the year and have been losing an average of 1.2 pounds per week.
I am pretty much at my goal weight now, and just need to burn some fat around my middle and replace it with muscle.0 -
5'3
1400 c. a day
Never eat my exercise calories.
Doing pretty good. Lost 25 pounds.
Scared for the girl who eats 500 a day. Where is her mommy!? Bump that up to 1200 honey. It's okay, it doesn't have to happen today. Work up to healthy. That's the point, healthy, not skinny, healthy. Skinny is just a perk. I was fat most of my life...and guess what, I am awesome! I can entertain the hell out of myself. All I need is me.0 -

I'm 5'2" short and wide with another 35 pounds to shed. My daily calories are 1500 and my activity level is set to moderate as I am an avid walker.
When my calories were at 1370, I had hit a 1-month plateau, but when I increased them to 1500, I automatically lost 1.4 pounds, so I am now a firm believer in eat more, shed pounds! So far I've lost 14 pounds since November. This body of mine is in no hurry :ohwell:
I am on MFP daily and measure very carefully including entering in receipes ,etc. so there is no guess work with my diary.0 -
Im 5ft 2, and I recently went from 1300ish up to 1500 when I started weights. Currently I am maintaining. But was losing around 1300ish0

I'm 5'2, 154lbs. Want to get to at least 126lb. I set my calorie goal using sedentary as I have a desk job, which is around 1222 cals. I then add on the exercise I do. This is my first week so I've just been adding the dog walking I'm doing, 1.5hrs a day, plus another hour or more on 4 days where I walk my nans dog for her.
I don't know if this is advisable, but I use runkeeper and runtastic to monitor my walks. I have put my weight, age, height etc in there, but I'm not sure how accurate their calories are. They use GPS and are always within 0.01 miles of each other, and around 10 cal difference. I never trust the calories though as I don't have a HRM so I halve whatever calories it tells me I burn and add this on to my daily allowance. Usually gives me around 1450-1500 a day.
I haven't weighed in yet, but I was following a 1400 cal diet a while ago and not eating back any exercise calories (I was doing loads of exercise), I did get to 8st10 but put it all back on over a year So I'm trying to do it more steadily!0 -
I am 5'2", 53 yrs old, small frame. I eat 1200-1400/day and exercise about 400 cal/day. so... I net around 1000 calories. I have been maintaining my weight loss. I wish I could eat more but I have tried to up calories and I gain. I just have to be careful so that if I do go out or eat more, I get right back on track and get any excess weight off.0

Im just under 5ft 3, Ive been on atkins for almost 3 wks, only lost 2lb.... started calorie counting now so hopefully it will work. Im eating 1200 a day, but only started 3 days ago so will let u kno how it goes..Im not big anyway, I gained half a stone from stopping smoking in january so only want to lose another 5lb..0

I'm 29 years old
I currently weigh 183 and am trying to get down to 135
MFP has my calorie intake set to 1200/day
I typically exercise 5-6 days a week and burn about 200 calories each time
I never eat back my calories I lose from exercise
I've only been tracking for about 2 weeks, and am currently down 5lbs. It may not be much, but it's a big deal for me.0 -

With all due respect, you should take your own advice. To only be eating 1400 and none of your exercise cals is no different than the position the OP is in. Plateaus will happen as well as possible loss of LBM.0
