Do you think I can lose 20lb in 13 weeks (3 months)?

Hey there!
I'm not a fan of quick-fix diets at all - it's right what they say, if you crash diet, usually the weight goes crashing straight back on again!
However, I'm going to Greece in 3 months and I'm 20 pounds away from my final goal. I'm already at a 'healthy' weight (I'm 5' 6 - 137lb) but I've got a chubby layer that I'd really like to shed before the holiday!
I struggle with binge eating so major deprivation is a no-go for me (always end up binge eating all the calories back) but I was thinking if I try and stick to eating around 1800 daily - but trying to keep most of my foods 'clean' as well, and not over-doing it on the carbohydrates. I also work out with a mix of 75% cardio - 25% strength around 5 times a week for over an hour, and ride back and forth to work everyday (that's about 40 minutes cycling I do 5 days a week, on top of my gym workouts).
So what do we think?

Why do you want to be underweight?0

While technically possible, I'm going to go with improbable. As I'm sure you know, when smaller weight tends to come off slower for most people.
20lbs in 13 weeks is about 1.5lbs a week. That may be faster than your body will actually be willing to do.0 -
I don't, not at all! My BMI would be 19 if I lost 20 pounds.0

I would say instead of losing more weight, start lifting it! You will see more progress lifting weight than you will trying to lose 20 more.0

Yeah I think you're right. Ah well! There's always next year's holiday I guess! And either way, if I can make a dent in my binge-eating habit and perhaps lose just a couple pounds I'll be happy enough. : )0 -

Sorry my bad math. Still that is on the low end so it will be really hard to get there. I would concentrate on body composition. And be careful it's easy to over do it and get really sore from overwork.0 -

Might not make it 20 pounds, probably more 8-12 but you'll look and feel like you lost 25 if you stick to it.0 -

I would have to go with this as well. Having said that, it sounds like you are a lot healthier than last year so I would focus on that rather than struggling to hit a target that isn't necessarily achievable.0 -
Anything is possible - I am down 16 lbs in about 66 days or about 8 weeks - not starving myself and eating 1680 per day - I switched to whole food plant based - no meat, no dairy and no oil - and the weight just drops - mind you in the beginning I did 1200 a day without understanding metabolism and what the body needs so I upped it to 1680 after calculating my TDEE and lessing out 20%...............0

I just started Advocare's 24 day challenge. I am down 8 pounds on day 9 of 24. It is so full of vitamins that you aren't "crashing." My food cravings were gone after the first day. You can check it out if you're interested https://www.advocare.com/13041937/Store/CatalogView.aspx?id=A . Greece will be amazing no matter what though! Enjoy yourself!0
