I'm not sure if that's what they are called, but I am wanting to get one but not sure which is the best. I've seen several and some are really expensive, I was hoping to find a good one at a decent price. Any suggestions?

I think you mean heart rate monitor. I have a Polar one (FT7) and I love it0

I've heard alot of great things about the fitbit and just ordered the basic one for $55. You can sync it with MFP and it keeps track of everything online and helps with tracking, etc. If you just want a straight HRM you can find some inexpensive ones on Amazon.0

You need to decide if you want it just for cardio exercises- HRM or for all,day activity- Bodymediafit, Fitbit. Jawbone Up, Nike Fuelband.
This is a good review.

Also, do a search on here for these gadgets- you'll find lots of information.0 -
I recommend Polar if you're looking at getting a Heart Rate Monitor. A fitbit will monitor your walking all day but won't be good for exercise (unless you're on a cross trainer, treadmill, or walking/jogging/running).0
