Not sure how, but I know I haven't gained 13 pounds and I am basically the same exact size as I have been.

Is this...poop...bloat...what is it?

I haven't been eating a ton of sodium lately, so you'd think it would be the opposite, right?

Maybe I haven't been going to the bathroom as much lately? I don't really pay much attention to it...

Or do you think the scale is broken?! AHH! HELP!

  • Oh also I should mention I have my yearly physical tomorrow and it's probably going to be awkward if I go in having "gained" 13 pounds...which is like 10% of my weight (I'm really short lol)

Hmm no clue hun , that's alot of extra weight, take your measurements, see if they measure up to what you should be, and hey your going to the doctor's ask them..
  • I just took them, they are exactly the same as they were the other day...
  • If you've been doing a lot of strength training over the past few days/weeks you could have gained more muscle mass, which wouldn't necessarily increase your inches but definitely increase your weight.

Scale in the same spot? Wearing the same clothes? Same time of day? Did you just eat? ToM?

may be water weight, especially if you have recently done any sort of vigorous workouts or a race etc. all of those little tears in muscle fibers lead to an increase in water weight as your body repairs them....may also be a fluctuation in scale or menstrual cycle. recheck tomorrow AM after drinking plenty of plain water and flushing your system out a bit maybe?
