Egg whites & Yolk (QUESTION)

Hi!

I am just wondering how to subtract the nutrition from egg yolks away from the egg whites. As I hear yolks contain most(if not all) the fat and cholesterol. I am aware that the yolk does contain some important nutrition too, but i am trying to cut some fat from my diet plan.

So yeah, If I have a medium sized egg, how would I calculate the nutrional value of the yolk away from the whites (So I can add what I eat, which would be the whites).

Sorry if I'm not making much sense, I've never been one to word things in the most excellent way Haha.

Any help will be much appreciated!!!

According to the food database, one egg white is 17 calories, no fat.
Just search egg whites, and you will find a number of options.
I like to make my morning eggs with one whole egg, and two whites. Very filling!

or just eat the whole egg. it's actually good for you.
  • Thank you!

Sometimes I just get confused when reading into the nutrition of my foods all the time. I miss the days where I didn't care and ate cake haha.

So would you say to take a general egg white nutritional reading from online as the standard, since I've been buying a few different brands of medium eggs and sometimes they conflict with calories, fat ect...

I would say to stick with one calorie value, and keep using that one. Stay consistant. The different brands won't make that much of a differene... just a few calories one way or another.
