Hey all,
I joined this site interested in pushing myself to lose weight that i've carried for most of my life. I've tried all sorts of diet things before and i like the fact that this website is an easy to use, self explanatory tool to help people like me lose weight.
I have about 120lbs to lose and i could use great tips! So if you have any, gimme a shout out!
Thanks and Look forward to hearing from ya!

Hi!!
I just joined this site 2 days ago and when I read "tired of failing," I thought, "yep, I can relate to that!"
My goal is to lose 75 pounds. (although I could probably stand to lose 100 pounds) And I've been struggling to lose weight since I was a teenager. I just turned 37 and I'm at my all time heaviest:(
So far, I like tracking my calories. Although, so far, I've gone slightly over my daily recommended calories both days!! But it really helps me to think about what I'm eating. I realize that I was eating an insane number of calories each day!!
Good luck to you!!! Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone:)0 -
Welcom to MFP. I too have struggle with my weight and as I have got older (I'm now 31) it has becomeincreasingly more difficult to manage my weight. I'm currently 154lb but want to be 135. Using the site has been a real eye opener and just seeing how much I consumed each day has made me become far more aware of what I put into my mouth.
You'll find lots of support here to help you along your journey. You will reach your goal and you will feel great. Add me as a friend if you like. all the best.

Hi There,
2 years ago i weighed in at 122kg/268lb
What i did is I broke it down to 5kg /11 lbs lots at a time.
At first i was unable to put a time limit on myself.
All i did was record what i ate for 4 weeks.
At the end of each day i did not make myself wrong in any way for what choices i made.
That was the 1st agreement i made to myself.
I was not going to berate myself in any way.
I started to look at what i didn't really need to eat.
For exercise i asked 4 different friends to meet me only once a week for a walk.
This was a great way to have time with friends we would talk & talk i wasn't aware of how far walked.
I got in the car to measure the distances i was amazed.
I also gave myself 1 dessert or a cake to eat but only out with a friend once a week.
1 take away meal every 3 weeks i found a place that did Pizza 9 inch size i also added a yummy salad.
I tried one new recipe a week as it's so easy to get bored with your food.
I gave my self a reward every month no matter what the result was on the scales.
Tomorrow I am off to a real spa for a Hot stone massage.
This is the first time i have really used this site today i was hungry.
I came on here totally Inspired.
All the best in your Journey have fun along the way.0
