Quaker rice "popped" are a good substitute for me- they Have ranch and cheddar flavoring, and a few others. I took some to a family dinner- and even the kids picked the cheese ones over potato chips-- of course, the 7yr old said that's cuz they tasted like Cheetos. :/.

I'm into CheeCha puffs right now- they come in a bunch of chip flavours and you get 2 cups for 80 calories.

Kale chips. Very easy to make. Rip up the kale, toss it with olive oil/garlic powder/a little salt, then roast on the top rack at 400 for 15-20 minutes. They are waaaaaaaaay better than you'd imagine.

Sun Chips are a good stepping stone. You still get the crunch from a chip and the taste is pretty decent. On the nutrition side its a whole grain snack.

Kale Chips, popcorn (airpopped or stove top), baked yams.

Basically any veggie you can thinly slice and bake will make a chip.

Cut up a sweet potato chip thin. Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of olive oil and bake for 20-30 minutes. Not sure what the nutrition content is but tastes awesome!!
