Quaker rice "popped" are a good substitute for me- they Have ranch and cheddar flavoring, and a few others. I took some to a family dinner- and even the kids picked the cheese ones over potato chips-- of course, the 7yr old said that's cuz they tasted like Cheetos.

I'm into CheeCha puffs right now- they come in a bunch of chip flavours and you get 2 cups for 80 calories.0

Kale chips. Very easy to make. Rip up the kale, toss it with olive oil/garlic powder/a little salt, then roast on the top rack at 400 for 15-20 minutes. They are waaaaaaaaay better than you'd imagine.0

Sun Chips are a good stepping stone. You still get the crunch from a chip and the taste is pretty decent. On the nutrition side its a whole grain snack.0

popcorn!0

Popchips!! Taste just like regular chips, 40grams for 170 cals!0

Kale Chips, popcorn (airpopped or stove top), baked yams.
Basically any veggie you can thinly slice and bake will make a chip.0 -

I love the BBQ popchips. They have a nice crunch and nice flavor. Air popped popcorn with a spritz of spray I can't believe it's not butter is another good substitute. I also pair blue corn chips with homemade salsa.0

Very good substitute for me. I love them.0 -
I'm sure people are going to take issue with this, and its still carbs as opposed to something healthy, but Lay's Light (made with Olean) are fat free and 75 calories/oz rather than 150-200/oz like most chips.
No, its not ideal, but its still good.0 -
Hw about if you want potato chips, eat them. Have one serving and be done. I find if I deprive myself my cravings, I do more damage in the long run.0
-
Fresh sweet long green beans. They are my french fries.0
-
Topchips.. Slice the potato with mandolin and pop them in the microwave.. no salt or oil required :-)
