maybe you gained muscles !!! they are havier than fat which means that you lost in body volume
did you check ?
keep working out it will pay !0 -
What was the period of time between those weigh ins? Was it a week or so, or a few days? Weight naturally fluctuates, even week to week, don't let it discourage you!0

Understandable, but don't worry about gaining weight until you are on a steady upward trend. It seems like you've only just started, and if you can't handle only weighing in once a week, then I advise to throw out your scale. It will haunt you and become the only thing you think about if you cannot handle it. I weigh myself almost daily because I am curious to know the fluctuations, but I only record Monday's weight, which is always lower than the previous Monday's. Eat right, exercise, and give it time

I am having the same issue. I"m thinking I just need to 'stick with it' to get my body used to all the muscle I'm building

How long have you been doing your routine for?
It takes a while for results to show
Elliptical doesn't build muscle, it is a cardio exercise so it burns fat.0 -
Could be water weight. I haven't lost any weight since upping my allergy meds, but I can tell I'm retaining water like mad. I figure it will even out eventually. Meanwhile, I'm keeping up with my jogging and lifting, while keeping track of calories. After all, this is supposed to be my new lifestyle, not just a temp thing. My weight will settle where it will, and since it took me years to put it all on, it will only mildly stress me if it takes a year or so to remove the excess.
Give any new routine time to sink in. Your body has to adjust, but I highly recommend using a tape measure to measure progress instead of the dread scale. It might take longer to see changes, but they are more permanent than the numbers on the scale.0
