Hi,
I'm usually good about drinking enough water throughout the day (1.5-2L have been doing so for months at least) but I am having the hardest time this week even getting a couple glasses down during work (8-5). It just starts to make me feel sick and I can't do it.
Any suggestions on why or what I can do to make sure I'm drinking enough?
Also, I've been craving salt and salty foods for the past couple days. fries, chips, crackers, pasta with salt anything salty.

Not sure why you're feeling sick -- could be some other issue, or even due to your eating habits. Make sure you get at least some sodium in your diet. You need those electrolytes (potassium, sodium) for many biological functions. Could even be why you have those cravings.
I put a flavor enhancer in my 64oz (1.89L) water bottle... I can't stand just sipping regular water at my desk w/o exercise.0 -
I think the sick feeling is coming from drinking water when I really dont want to, but I'm going to try getting more sodium into my diet, maybe then I'll want the water too ... so strange because I usually enjoy drinking water.0

I very much enjoy my water. It's just something I can't have every day, all day, 365 without some sort of variance. I keep buying 18 pack variety packs of the powder stuff to keep it interesting. It's probably time to go to a warehouse store and buy in bulk.
If you don't mind the taste of water down lemonade, you can always try it. Otherwise, leaving fruit in the water while it's in the fridge over night will diffuse the flavors.0 -
I have actually been experiencing the same thing, my sister-in-law is a nurse and she suggested if it continues to look into whether I have a potassium deficiency. Either way I just try to eat more fruits and veggies if I can't get the water down because they are pretty saturated :] Good luck!0

If you don't want it, don't drink it. It's possible to drink too much water. Quit aiming for a certain amount and just drink water when you're thirsty.0
