Not sure what difiene is so I'm not sure if you're pleased with your GP's approach or not.

When I started getting hip pain I went to a chiropractor who told me I had a weak gluteus medius. I started doing targeted exercises for that muscle and the improvement was immense. If you don't get results from looking at things from the MRI/ortho standpoint, consider PT or perhaps chiro.

At the moment you've got pain, so take a rest and give yourself and the people working with you time to figure it out.

It's been 3 weeks? Go see a specialist! You can get your gp to recommend one, and that will probably be cheaper than an MRI if it's a therapy fix and not a surgery fix.

All I can say is, tiny fracture maybe? Sounds similar to when I had a bone chip in my elbow. But really, nobody on here can diagnose you like your doctor!

Also, I hope you feel better soon!

I had a similar problem in high school when I was training in the off season for track. I had an MRI and was told I had iliopsoas tendonitis. The iliopsoas consists of two muscles the run from your lower back, through your hip, down past your groin towards your knee. Does it hurt to lift your knee? Mine was in pretty bad shape from overtraining, and I had to take most of the season off. It still bothers me several years later...

The difiene is an anti inflammatory, its doing a good job as im in less pain now.

I've been swimming a few days also .

I hate not knowing and I really miss my run :-(

    I t doesn't really hurt to do anything .

'Ive thought about pilates but should probably find out the problem first

    Thanks for the replys
