Want to know something that has me super pumped right now? I am a little over 300lbs. I tried the plank today and I was able to do it for a full minute!!! I know its not that long but for me it is!!! Let me tell you, if I can do it then so can you. Ahh I'm so so excited about this.

Thanks guys!! Yes it is definitely the small things that makes a difference. I was literally shaking at the end too laurajcrampto!! I was also yelling loudly "I CAN do it!!!" Haha. Thankfully no one was home because I really was yelling. It is such an exhilarating feeling!!0

You go girl!! That is something to be proud of.
And awesome job getting out of your own head - your body doesn't give up first, your mind does.0

Oh man; I can only do 25 seconds. Boo!
 But good for you!0

 This is FANTASTIC.....
i used to be over 300 pounds I couldn't do that then.
I am now much LESS than 300 pounds and I can do 500 crunches, 300 swiss ball crunches and 127 jack knife prones and yet I can only do a 15 second plank.
that is AWESOME. good for you.0

Planks are great, I do reps of them in my core workouts, although, I am really looking forward to getting a minute on my planche forms, still working the first form though
Not sure why I missed this, but great job, a minute is hard core!0

Sweet! Keep going!!! I've had to do 2 minute planks for the strength program I'm using, and I hate them. Mostly because I can't stand being still for 2 minutes.0

Planks are awesome! I read somewhere that 60 second planks are actually more effective for core work than crunches. Keep it up!0

            I'm impressed!0

            I think a minute is awesome!! KUDOS!0

That is awesome, I'm at 250 and still can't plank that long!!0
-
That's so awesome! Are you doing the plank on your elbows or on your hands? Either way, that's impressive!0
-
You did awesome. I am at goal -140lbs with a 36lbs loss & I still struggle with doing a plank for a full minute. I try & try. You rocked it out.0

That is awesome! You are heavier than me and I only managed 30seconds today. I have just added it to my gym work out as something to build on.
 Great job!!0

Put a book down on the floor and read while you're planking. Works for me!0

I work with a woman who does Cross-fit and she told me that she won a competition once by planking for 5 minutes. That became my new goal and I was up to 1 min, 45 seconds. Then I read an article on yahoo (I know, I know) that once you get past 1 minute you are wasting your time because it is a static exercise.
What have you guys all heard? Is that true or not?0

I start shaking at about 00:45 haha I can do a full minute but it's SUPER hard... this reminds me brb.... ok did it! LOL0

Thanks everyone! Meiya007 I did it on my elbows. 0 0

My ex-trainer does core strength classes and she challenges them to hold it for 1.5 minutes or 2 minutes. It is hard for so many people. 1 minute is really good right off bat.0

Awesome!!! Planks use so many muscles. You're off to a GREAT start!! Keep on smiling and keep on working to get healthy!!! You go girl!0

 That's a good idea! I tried MFP'ing, but it didn't work so well. 0 0
