Sugar: sucrose, glucose, fructose, dextrose - Interesting!

I have recently come across this information and thought I'd share. If anyone knows about this, can you tell me if fructose must be stated as such on the label of packaged food?
I checked my pantry and all I could find on the ingredients label is 'total sugars' or just 'sugar'. How do you know if it contains fructose if it is not clearly stated?

You need to read the ingredients list on the packaging to find the specific sugars used.0

Sucrose is half fructose. This may come as a shock but it's not fructose that is making people sick and obese, it's overeating. I know, not very interesting, but true.0
