Lack of Loss

I have been using this forum since Feb. 1st of 2013 and I'm pretty satisfied but what discourages me is I keep within my dietary food limits and I engage in physical activity for 60 or more minutes a day but still I am not losing as I should approximately one to two pounds a day; do you have any suggestions for my difficulties?:yawn:

Did you lose in the beginning? The body sometimes needs to have things changed up. Vary your exercise patterns, what foods you eat... etc. I have hit several plateaus in the last 2mo. each time I take a small step back, a break, then hit it hard again...
Open your food diary, and we will see what you are eating... and use us friends to help support you!

... I am not losing as I should approximately one to two pounds *a day*...

You should only lose 1-2 pounds *per week*. What is your calorie goal? Are you eating the calories you earn from exercising? Are you losing weight at all?

You mean one to two pounds a week right? Not day? If you are expecting to lose that a day then no wonder you are disappointed!

I think 1-2 lbs a day is very unrealistic.... I'm shooting for 1-2 a week. I've been told thats the pace that yoou need to keep it off in the future. As long as the scale is not going up... you are doing fabulous!

I assume you misspoke and meant 1 to 2 pounds per week.

Also, I assume that you are very aggressive in your goals, so you set MFP to lose 2 pounds per week, and MFP told you to eat 1200 calories per day. I assume that you have been doing this and you have not seen the promised results.

In situations like yours, MFP's math is theoretically sound but unsound in practice. If my assumptions are correct, please read this thread for input on how to calibrate your intake for your body, your goals, and your activity levels. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/952996-level-obstacles-lose-weight-target-fat-easy
