Hi everyone, I'm new to this.

I had my second Baby almost a year ago now and instead of seeing my weight go down I've actually gained about 25lbs. I have a stressful lifestyle and I've found in the past I gain weight and hold onto it when i'm stressed. I stepped on the scale a week ago and I am at the heaviest i have ever been including at my most pregnant. I am currently 160 lbs and my goal weight is 120. I am only 5'1. I am getting very discouraged and therefore give up too easily.

Any advice on how I can do this safely but effectively? So far i haven't been so lucky...

just stick with it and you will see results. keep counting, keep exercising and don't give up. It is hard especially at first to stop eating like you used to but it does get easier. It may only be 1-2lbs a week but the scale will keep going down with time. you can do it!

Stick with it! After I had my 5th child I was 5lbs under my pre pregnancy weight at 5 days postpartum. (GD diet) But then I proceeded to gain 17lbs over the next year. That was my breaking point. I'm now the lowest I've been since having any kids. (I'm 5'7" 157lbs. Before kids I was 144) If I can do it anyone can!

That's exactly what happened to me. I was 140 lbs after having the baby, but have gained 20 lbs over the last 9 months. It is hard, especially since my oldest daughter is in competitive dance. When we are away at competitions it's hard to stick to it. Also, she has practice late 4 nights a week. We aren't home until 7:30 some nights. I am trying to stay confident...

    Thanks for your encouragement!!
