Profile pics with your phone

Um, it always gets to me. If you are going to take a pic with your phone, can't you hold it in such a manner that the phone is out of the frame? I understand that some people wish to remain anonymous and so it makes sense when you are totally blocking your face with your phone. It's the people that hold it like right next to their face, what is that?

    pose properly
    make sure the room behind me is clean


    I now have to try an accomplish that so that my phone is not visible in the pic?

    Lol, no I didn't really give this thread much thought. I'm just instigating **** for fun. But I mostly meant for your profile pic. I think what you were referring to was probably a progress pic, which I need to take more of. My MFP friends were asking me to upload some so I did. But mostly they are just for my reference.
