After having two failed green smoothies with kale (yuck) I decided Spinach is the way to go and so here is my winner:

1 cup unsweetened almond milk (I use Blue Diamond in the frige)
1 cup baby spinach, fresh
1 apple of your choice (so far I tried a pink lady and a mcintosh, both very good)
1 banana
1/8 c. oatmeal

throw all ingredients in blender, blend well until smooth and enjoy!!

I thought there were all these green smoothie lovers out there that would be interested in my concoction, but alas I suppose I was wrong. Anyway, I hope someone comes along and sees this yummy mix, because most I did try so far were really not good as the
    links said they were.

Kale is great in smoothies- you just need to pair it with a "strong fruit" that has a higher juice content. I like acids, personally. Pineapple, oranges, and kiwi are my favorites. Don't give up on kale

:noway: Kale is way to bitter for me! I'll stick to spinach!

I drink a green smoothie almost every morning. I tried a new one today and it was really yummy and super filling. 4 hours later and I'm still not hungry, even after an hour long yoga class.

    1 medium fairly ripe banana
    3 cups baby spinach
    1 scoop vanilla protein powder
2 tablespoons Jif Crunchy Peanut Butter
    1 cup water

OATS! I never thought of oats in it. I bet that would make them even more filling. Plus I LOVE oats.

2 bananas?! That seems like a lot...whats your reasoning for that and not throwing in a different fruit or something?

I use kale with spinach all the time...also dandelion weeds are super nutritious!

    every morning:

    2 cups spinach
    1 cup kale
    1/4 cup blueberries
    1 small fuji apple
    knub of ginger
    1 cup unsweetened almond milk
    1 cup water
    some ice
I add my favorite protein powder usually!
    4 drops of stevia

Keeping the fruit to high fiber and only two servings per day for weight loss...but that's just what works for me!
