I've had females and males notice my weight loss. Feels good! I even had one cute co-worker notice. I would be a cougar if I dated him though. Ha, ha.

When I hit the 20-25 lb mark, people really started noticing.0

I'd say about 10-15lbs0
-
Around the 20 lbs mark... and even then it was "I can tell in your face"0
-
I've lost 19lbs so far and no one aside from my Mom and my fiancé have commented. I have been kinda surprised because I can tell, but it doesn't bother me (:0

People JUST started noticing. At 20 pounds. Oh well.0

Six years ago, I lost 90 total over the course of 18 months. People didn't start to comment until around the 20-25 pound mark. I had gone down one size. That is when people commented. It took about 3 months to lose that. It came off fast at the beginning and then much slower towards the end. It is VERY motivating to have people comment!0

I think the saying goes, after 10lb you notice, after 20lb your friends and family notice, after 30lb the whole world notices!
But everyone's different0 -

On average you will notice at 4 weeks, family at 8 weeks, and friends/coworkers 12 weeks.0

for me it was about 15-20 pounds when people started asking me how much I'd lost so far.0

One of my closest co-workers keeps telling me how much skinnier I look and my face is less round and so on and so on, but I don't know if I should believe her or not since she only started telling me these things after asking how much I've lost - and now she tells me how skinny I look every time we work the same shift. We've talked about weight loss a lot of times before and shared our experiences, so she knew I'm trying to lose weight before I actually started losing. Now I've lost 15lbs and this started at maybe 10lbs.0

My gym buddies seem to notice when ever I think the scale is stuck, then in the next day or so the scale moves. But people started noticing around the 20 lb mark, now they notice when I drop another size and start wearing new clothes.0

For me it was about 20 pounds0

Around 20lbs my Mum said I was looking good and asked me what I was doing. At 28lbs my male cousins who I hadn't seen since the first 9lbs came off said I shouldn't lose any more or there would be nothing left of me lol. I still want to keep losing a bit more though and have lots of firming up to do.0

I started off at 243 lbs, then lost 20 lbs and i started witnessing changes. But sadly no one did To be fair, i was slightly larger than most people so to lose 20 pounds from 243 I suppose no one were able to see the change.
When I lost around 50 lbs, and was around 190 people saw drastic changes. I was slightly anti social during these few months of weight loss jogging every day and keeping to myself. Now people who see me have their mouths open and they can't stop talking about how much weight I have lost.
Feels great that people acknowledge it and can see that difference.
Another 20 pounds to go, WOOHOO!0 -

My mom started saying something at about 25 pounds gone....my BIL on Easter at 35 pounds.....and no co-workers have said anything to date. The only thing that they have mentioned is that I cut all my hair off (from small of my back to pixie cut) when I lost 40 pounds. Still didn't say anything about the new clothes I went and bought that weekend either. :ohwell:
Some friends I didn't see at all for the 40 pounds, so all of them noticed.
My husband has been my biggest supporter and has always said that he can tell....everyone can tell with him...he's lost 60ish pounds.0 -
I noticed at 10lbs, but others' didn't until about 20lbs. And it's only gotten better as I would trade in my baggy clothes for better fitting ones and people were amazed!0
-
I agree with others... at least 15-20 lbs... which is about a pant size or so, at least for me.0
-
For me it was at the 30-35 lbs. mark. I thought it would be sooner considering I'm only 5'1.0
-
when I hit the 200 pounds that was when people noticed that was in November 20120

Coworkers noticed for me at about 15-18 lbs lost. I agree with many posts, it is motivating when others notice and compliment. :-)0

I guess my weight loss has been slow and sporadic, that I can't say anyone has ever really commented. Myfitnesspal profile states 205, but that was my weight when registering here. I actually started at ~230pnds in the Fall of 2011. Anyways, this site rocks and has helped me a lot. Besides, I don't mind, I feel better everyday and I can see it!0

My family noticed after 10 pounds. Sadly, many of them are more obsessed about my weight than I am.
My neighbor noticed around 15 pounds. She had seen me jogging up and down the neighborhood, so she knew I was trying to get in shape.
My friends didn't really start saying anything until 25-30 pounds. They might have noticed and just not felt like commenting because I don't talk about it with them or on Facebook unless the subject is brought up. I may be public about it on MFP and Fitocracy, but there's still a level of anonymity about it even with my photo in my profile.0 -
Lost 34 pounds, almost half the way... people don't seem to notice.
Well... my brother asked me if I lost weight at about 25 pounds lost, but he doesn't counts. We practically live together and he knows most of my efforts.
My mom visited last weekend, not seeing me after December... she said that I looked like I lost some weight. She doesn't count either, she's... mom. She notices every small changes in her children.
My friends... I suspect them to be to nice to ask (like making me feel fat, since I had what to lose )
I don't mind if others don't notice... mostly because I know that people see me every day and so on. But it would be nice to see that people notice... like that would mean that they `notice` me. Sometimes, with all the weight... I feel like I'm invisible to most people. :indifferent:0 -
I lost 48 lbs., put 14 back on and in the whole process…no one said a word about it. My wife noticed because she sees me eating better and my mom (who has bugged me about my weight for 48 years) always asks me, but that’s it. My coworkers who I spend 8-10 hours with a day said/say nothing. I keep going…I know I need to lose more and know I can do it, but it’s hard for sure.0

My parents hadn't seen me for about a month, and they noticed . This as at about 9 kilos lost. I lost a bit before starting on here. It took a while for people at work to notice or rather mention anything. Some have now . A few just give me weird looks. I think they wonder at how much I eat now . I eat more at work, which stops me from over eating after work. The mums at school have just started to comment. The don't see me that often. My husband is a sahd, so they see him more. The only activity my eldest does is Aikido. They don't know me well enough to say anything, but they have noticed. It was strongly suggested what a great workout it is and I should start training there lol0

30 pound mark for me, was the first time anyone said anything. Lady asked me if I had a boy or a girl. :grumble:0

About 30 lbs. and six months. To be fair, I started wearing Spring and Summer clothes so it was more noticeable.0
