    1992: Hurricane Andrew rips through Miami. Was a month old and we were living in the heart of Miami, and we were lucky enough that our house hardly had a scratch, apparently. I also slept through most of it.

    War, cyclones, earth quakes, plane crashes, assassinations, train disasters, serial killers, drought, floods, riots, terrorist attacks.

    It wasn't a good year. But on the plus side: I was born! Yay.
