I hit a plateau I'm trying to get past a friend told me maybe my culture had something to do with it. Any advice or trick or whatever are y'all doing to continue losing weight. I'm thinking about trying insanity.

What part of your culture was she blaming?0

Sometimes pear shaped women get to a stage where they have tiny waists - great and healthy , but worry about their butts. Is this what your worried about? I am an apple shape, but I have seen lots of slim chicks with curvy hips and butts.0

That has nothing to do with your culture, but everything to do with your genes.
It is also irrelevant to your plateau. How long have you been stuck?0 -

ok so Im hispanic but i have an apple shape!!! and my workouts are high cardio, and i do see some slimming results, I have started lifting and I can see some progress there. I think it's just sticking with it and probably measure yourself and see after a month if you lost inches. Hope this helps!!0

Do you lift? Having more muscle is a good thing. It's not always about weight my shape has to be careful because it's not good to have tummy fat. Stress on the organs etc. I was reading a calorie counting book and it said that pear shapes need to be careful they don't cut so much body fat and end up unhealthy. I believe that cellulite while not pretty, isn't a big health issue. I suggest having a look at the weight lifting threads. I have seen some awesome looking pear shaped women who lift. They have kept the curves, but look really firm. Hopefully someone will comment who has experience lol.0
