Polar FT40 watch questions

So I've been looking at the Polar FT40 watch, but... is it just a watch? Or does it also come with a chest strap? Or do I have to buy the strap separately? If so, which one?
I have a big rib cage, and doubt the standard straps for any HRM would fit around me...which is the reason I've shied away from buying one for so long.
(I'm trying to lose weight, and want an accurate count of calories burned during my workouts, because I know that ellipticals and treadmills are notorious for being inaccurate.)

The FT40 comes with a chest strap as well, and it's adjustable (I'm not sure how big it gets but I'm sure the specs are on their website somewhere). I've been really happy with mine!0

Their website is a mess I've been trying to find out how big the strap is, with no luck so far0

I bought this and absolutely love it! Check out the Amazon reviews, they were really helpful in me deciding to go with this one. I love that the treadmills Planet Fitness pick up on the signal.0

I have this and I have the opposite problem, its too big and falling down. it says m-xxl on the strap and at its longest is 38'' max unstretched, 60'' max STRETCHED (measured for ya )0

It comes with the strap and transmitter pod. It stretches pretty big. I knew a girl who was 250lbs and it fit her. But if you can't fit in it, you can order an XXL strap.
It is a watch/time, it tells you your HR, calories burned, MAX HR, Average HR, Time of workout. Stores your last couple of workouts. Tells you how long you were in FITNESS ZONE and how long you were in FAT BURNING ZONE.
I have the FT7, which is ALMOST identical. If/when mine finally dies, I'll replace it with the FT4.
The best price I found has been on Amazon:
Gray $56 - http://amzn.to/16A6Bn8
Pink - $66 - http://amzn.to/154lVKC
XXL Strap - $19 http://amzn.to/114doBQ0 -
I have the polar FT4 and I absolutely LOVE it! I have a large chest as well and was worried but it stretches and is very comfortable. I forget to take it off after I workout because I forget that it is there. I also love that at my gym my watch picks up on all of the cardio machines so I don't have to look at my watch to see my hr!
If you are unsure I would be sure to do the research and read reviews! Good luck in making a decision!0 -
Thank you for measuring it for me! I'm definitely ordering one next week0
