Hello everyone!!! I started MFP back in April and his really well on it and lost like 20 pounds in 2 months. Then I fell off the wagon. I started to slip back into my old ways of easting fast food too often, drinking soda every day, and not exercising like I should be. I wasn’t happy with myself but not upset enough to do something about it until this weekend. I was getting out of the pool as a family pool party and my little cousin was sweet enough to tell me “Your belly has a face! Two eyes and a mouth.” I realized she was talking about my fat rolls. Although my family got a good laugh out of it, which was all I need to realize I need to get back on here. So I’m back and with a passion. I know I can do this I just can’t give up on myself again. I have tried to get some of my family on here but I need people to hold me accountable. If I don’t log in I want someone to get on me for it. If you would be interested in helping me out please add me as a friend. Have a great day.
Thanks for Listening,
Elyse

Its great that you made the decision to come back. It seems to be a great site. And you know you can do as you have before. Good luck.
  • I fell into the same trap that you did. I started MFP back in October 2009 and lost 30+ lbs. Then I stopped tracking my meals and exercise and I started to put the weight back on. Now that I'm nearly back to my original weight, I have committed myself to loss 50 lbs by Christmas. The first thing I'm doing is to start using MFP again (as of Today). Wish me luck!
Elyse, I noticed you didn't set a goal, or at least post it. For me, it helps to have a target (lost 50 lbs. by Christmas). Try setting a goal and tell others about it. Maybe you can get them to set a goal as well.
    Good Luck.
    Mike

    Elyse,

Hello! I just joined MFP today and would love to have a motivation buddy! My ultimate goal is to lose 50 pounds, though my shorter term goal is to lose 31 pounds by the end of September. I am getting married October 23rd and my final dress fitting will be the end of September. Let me know if you are interested in buddying up!
