    Others from my grad year:

    "The Thing"
    "Poltergeist"
    "Conan the Barbarian"
    "The Road Warrior"
"Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan"
    "Rocky III"
    "TRON"
and one of my favorites "Fast Times at Ridgemont Time"

Considered one of the best ever years for summer movies since lots of critics say that movies like this were more "personal".

Hmmmmmmm....had to look it up: The Poseidon Adventure.

I didn't see it until we got a VHS player in the 1980s, maybe even 1990s.

Patton came out in my last year of high school, I think. I never saw that one.

1987? The biggest grossing film was Three Men and a Baby. Meh. However, that was the year with Dirty Dancing, Lethal Weapon and SPACEBALLS!

Well, I'd have to go with Rocky (1976) , since Star Wars (1977) was released AFTER I graduated.

I graduated high school in 1989, here are the top 10 movies of that year:

    1 Batman
2 Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
    3 Lethal Weapon 2
    4 Look Who's Talking
5 Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
6 Back to the Future Part II
    7 Ghostbusters II
    8 Driving Miss Daisy
    9 Parenthood
    10 Dead Poets Society
This, though some days I swear the correct answer was more likely "Gone With the Wind."
