Very small success story

I started using this website a week ago to track my food intake and exercise. I have been rigorous about entering what I eat every day and how much exercise I get. It is encouraging me to get some exercise every day, and I have started a tai chi class. I am making huge changes in how I eat, and just counting calories is something I've refused to do for nearly three decades. I've been very surprised by how many calories a baked potato has BEFORE you add anything else like butter or sour cream.

I consider this week a success because I'm still doing it, and I think that I will be able to continue making these lifestyle changes until I've lost all my extra weight. If I don't die of a stroke or heart attack first, I can see that it's possible to live a healthier life. I think that I will be using the tools provided at this website for the rest of my life. I'm not going to stop counting calories after I've taken off all the extra weight (more than 100 pounds). I'm going to keep counting calories the rest of my life so that I maintain the weight that I've lost.
