Hookah!!

I love smoking but havent in about three months now (GO ME!!)
Been thinking about it alot though. Wondering if anyone else has smoked or does smoke hookah...
I know this is random.. Just cant sleep and was bored lol


(Btw.. I know it is bad and isnt helping with weightloss... Which is the main reason I dont smoke much anymore)

    I have my old set up in a box somewhere. Its kinda fun to have around when you're drinking in your place. Plus makes the room smell like fruit...

    I used to live in Dubai where it is very popular (but called shisha). I used to love the smell of it, but the health hazards put me right off. Much worse than cigarettes (not that I've ever smoked either...). Also, I heard that the poor guys that set the stuff up were always ill (mind you that was in a shisha cafe where the units were shared so everyone's shared germs were swishing around the thing :noway: ) and that the rates of cancer were very high. No thanks, I don't fancy throat cancer, seen someone (heavy smoker) suffer and die from that and that is NOT the way I want to go for the sake of a few fruit-flavoured puffs of smoke!. Just my humble thoughts... :flowerforyou:

    You're right. I just wanna point out that a hookah is the pipe you smoke shisha out of :)
    Also.. What makes cigarettes so bad is all the added chemicals and the burning of the tabacco. Shisha is just tobacco leave and honey and/or glycerin and natural flavorings that gets heated up. The moisture evaporates and that is what you smoke.. Vapor. Unless you dont know how to set up a bowl and then you do end up burning it. Im not saying its 100% good for you.. It isnt.. But it is much different from cigarettes. (You do get about 500x the nicotine if you use unwashed shisha.. But washed shisha is only 50x.

    Smoking hookah is one of my favorite things to do when it's pretty outside. When I first heard about it I was completely disgusted by the idea, but once I actually tried it I loved it.

    Sounds just like me lol.
    I was soo skeptical but when my bf set it up and I took a hit I was hooked. Even my cat smokes it if I leave the mouthpiece within reach (which is just about everywhere damn cats lol)

    That's adorable! I first heard about it from one of my old boyfriends, but I never really got into it until an Arabic student at my school offered to smoke with me in exchange for English lessons. After the first week I was hooked.

    After I got hooked... I smoked 2-3 30-60 minute sessions a DAY!! If was rediculous. I'm now down to once every 2-3 months. Moneys tight and my kitty has asthma (The photo was taken before I found out.. I dont smoke with him in the house anymore)
    I also realized after having an asthma attack while bike riding that my lungs were in poor shape. So.. I smoke socially every once in a while and it tides me over. Thank god I'm not addicted to nicotine or I'd be in trouble.

    There are definately some days that I wanna go buy a pack of cigs (which is weird since I habe NEVER smoked them)
    I recently found E-Hookahs.. Which are shisha flavored e-cigs. They are awesome for a quick calm down. Stress is eating me alive lately.. Guess that is why I have hookah on the brain :)

    I've had those before, but it waste of money for me. The guy that sold it to me said he takes a couple puffs every couple hours and it lasted him 2 weeks. I took a couple puffs every few hours and it lasted me less than a day.

    You must have got a dud. My bf and I got one and smoked off it together for 3 weeks.( Little bit every day)
    It would have lasted longer but we shared it with a friend and smoked it for 30 minutes straight. What brand did you try?

    Humm... Sounds kinda like a starbuzz. I had an imperial brand one. Mocha latte. It was amazing. The starbuzz one I have right now typically stays in the car for the bf cause I hate it. We got mint and it burns my throat really bad. Im more of a mild mint girl. Lol.
