Well I wasn't quite sure where would be most appropriate for me to post this so I choose here. I started my MFP profile yesterday I love it. I love that the food database has every food I've yet to enter but I'm having a very difficult problem. It says I should have a net calorie intake for 2,660 calories a day and this is my day today.

Daily net calorie goal: 2,660
+ calories burned: 0
- calories consumed: 1,510
Calories remaining: 1,150

I still have 1,150 calories left to take in but I feel like intaking more calories would be pointless, I already feel like i've eaten too much today, but it doesn't make sense to me at all. Am I supposed to meet this goal somehow or what am I doing wrong?

I'm really confused about this :-\ :frown:

I'm going to the gym now I will be back in a little over an hour, any and all advice is welcome I'm also having trouble putting meals together for breakfast lunch and dinner that are healthy and good.

Thanks, Justin.

Inside your goals if you let MFP do it for you, did you put that you want to lose 1 or 2 lbs a week? Or maintain? Also for you activity level, make sure it's the correct setting.. so many people think they are active when really they probably aren't that active...

as far as meals, i'ma green giant eater... lol and anything else, i just watch my portions and make sure it's all either wheat or whole grain.. and i don't drink anythin but water and tea (without sweetner).. unless it's a cheat day... lol but i'm sure there are people that can help with meals.. Banks, Tam?! any suggestions?

Double check all your stats: (height, weight, age, activity level) and settings, and then, if your numbers are still there (it seems like it might be high, but I'm not sure.) get to eatin'

Sensible foods, spaced out throughout the day works best for me.

Welcome Justin. There are a couple of posts you need to read in order to understand the way this programm works. One of them is from Banks :newbies read me second addition. It will explain how you can eat healthy and be satisfied and still loose weight, and we have lots of people on here that have succeedet.
The trick is to eat less processed foods, lean meats, veggies and whole wheat. You should also eat at least 3 meals and 2 snacks. If you do this right you should feel great and never be hungry. Nothing is off limits( if I can't have it I wan't it now) and the only thing I have cut out is fried foods.
Got to go my grill is calling, I wish you sucess:drinker:

That seems to be a little high. Check your goals and settings, If everything is right go with what MFP recommends.

    Ditto...

What they said... That seems to be high, unless you are really really really tall and want to lose just a tiny bit per week.? Let us know how it works out.
