I have got to my goal weight of 148lb at 5ft 7. When using the scooby calculator its giving me 2200 calories a day. I feel this will be to much.
I use the gym 7 days a week doing around 45 minutes of cardio and 15 mins weights each day.
Im scared of eating this may calories and the weight going back on. Any advice please would be appreciated.
Thanks :-)

Increase calories by 100 increments each week and watch the scale until you maintain.
Cut back on the 45mins cardio as it is totally unnecessary and up the weights. 30mins of each is perfect.0 -
Congratulations on reaching goal!!!0

Cheers. I enjoy the cardio. I don't find it too much. I do 10 mins on the bike and then about 35 minutes running. Im aiming to be able to run 5K.
Will take your advise with upping my calories by 100 each week to see how I get on. really dont want to lose anymore though but deff dont want to gain anymore0 -
Hi! I'm in the same situation. 5'8" and reached my goal of 145lbs a couple of weeks ago. I haven't changed anything because I went on vacation for 8 days and ate/drank my heart out! I gained 4lbs, but already lost that plus another 1.5, so I'm down to 143.5 now.
I currently workout 4-5 days a week and I net 1530, so I'm going to up my cals to 1630 for the next week and see how I do. Feel free to friend me so we can figure out this maintenance thing together!0 -
Congrats on reaching your goal! I am also maintaining and I just could not bring myself to increasing my calorie intake a bunch so I am still consuming the same as I was when I was still losing. I just play around with my diet daily. Today I weighed a pound less than my goal weight so I know that today I can add some extra things into my diet and eat more calories. Sometimes I'll take a day off from working out and dieting and we will have dinner out somewhere and I will not count my calories. If I gain a little, I just play around for the next day or two until I'm back down to where I was before. I find that it's very easy to gain a pound and just as easy to drop it back off. To me, this is the fun part of this lifestyle! I worked hard to get here so now I might as well get to enjoy it a little! Cheers to you!0

See, Im currently on 1370 a day Im strict all week then let it go a bit at the weekend, ie have a drink a few treats and can still lose weight. But I tried maintaining a bit back 1 week went fine, then the next week I had put 2lb on so back on the diet. Im thinking I need to allow myself 4lb under goal so I have that to play with if you get me xx0

Don't be scared - be happy!!! :flowerforyou:
Just slowly up your calories until you find that sweet spot - all the calculations in the world just give you an approximation. It took me two months to find my maintainance calories.
Be prepared to accept a range for your goal weight rather than one number to allow for normal weight fluctuations.0 -
I have given myself a week a 5 pound range to stay within. I eat at a 400 calorie deficit m - f then Saturday and Sunday i eat what i want.0

This sounds like a good idea but I bet I dont have the self control.0 -

Hey, that sounds like a good plan because that's kind of what I do too. I will intentionally go under my goal just because I want to let loose more on the weekends and not be so hard on myself. I like my wine and beer so that way I can still enjoy it! I think you're doing great . . . and being concerned about this all shows you will stick to it and keep the weight off this time! You rock!0
