Cardio and skin tingling common?

Maybe this has been repeated numerous times, maybe I'm just strange, or maybe both (haha) Is it normal for ones skin/muscles to tingle while doing cardiovascular exercise? I was running today (which I haven't done for a while) and my butt and upper legs started to have this "tingling" sensation. Has anyone else experienced this? If yes why does it happen? This sensation seems to come and go :/

Yes! I get this too... Typically, it's worst after I'm done my cardio. I think it's just the blood circulating. I have poor circulation, so that's probably why I have it fairly frequently... even after walking outside for a while. Doesn't help that I live in Canada & that it's cold outside currently...

I wouldn't worry about it. I think once your body is more used to cardio, it won't be an issue

Yes, this is a very common experience. If you go to the Runner's World online section with common questions you'll see it comes up a lot. Some people even get hives or a rash. I would suggest lots of water: before, during and after. And a shower immediately after---but you'll find lots of advice on Runner's World.

Oh, yes, I used to get that - I would have to scratch my thighs red to relive the tingles. My sis told me it was just all my cellulite rubbing together, causing friction and burn - probably some BS. But after about 1-2 weeks of daily walking/threadmill, I don't feel it at all.

Thank you all so so so much for the replies. It kind of freaks me out sometimes, LOL. I use the elliptical a lot and it doesn't happen. It's only when I run (which never happens unless somethings chasing me! hahaha) Maybe I should start running more often to switch it up and see if this sensation goes away.
