working so hard but getting no results! HELP!

I have been exercising 5 days a week since february and eating such a good diet! I have the occasional cheat meal at the weekend but i haven't touched white grains or had carbs after 6 (except if its a cheap meal) since then, I have lost around an inch and a half from around my body but its been 2 months so i should be seeing more drastic results right?
its getting to the point where i want to give up as I'm not seeing any results, I have a family holiday in august and i was really wanting to make a change as every year i say i will but i never do.
I'm 156lbs and 5ft 8 so I'm not an unhealthy weight but i want to lose a few pounds and tone up alot. can someone please help me!

Why are you not eating grains or carbs after 6? It doesn't matter when you eat for weight loss.

At your height and weight you are in the healthy range. Might see better results by switching your goals to build muscle. Increase calories to just above maintance and lift heavy weights. Building muscle will lower your body fat % making for a smaller body even if the scale doesn't agree.

NOt eating carbs after a certain time won't make you lose more weight than if you were eating them provided your calories are the same.

1200 is far too low for you. I would set your goal to maintance at least and lift heavy weights to reshape your body.
  • What are you doing for exercise? What kind/how long.

When you say "cheat meal," what does that mean? Are you going way over in calories, eating things you don't eat during the rest of the week? What?

What is your goal? What do you consider "a few pounds?"

We need to know some of these answers before we can even begin to tell you anything other than "1200 calories is way too low if you are working as hard as you say you are."

i can't afford a gym so sometimes i run and do a yoga dvd and do jillian Michael's 30 day shred every day, i do 2 levels every day and change the levels up to change my routine a bit. it changes between around 45 minutes to an hour and a half.

cheat meal means a take away or some chocolate (not the okay stuff) or some ice cream, just indulge a bit! sometimes i go over but it never goes over 200 cal

my goal is to tone up all over and to lose a bit of belly fat and hip fat, the few pounds i want to lose are around 5-10 pounds, but i know muscle weighs more then fat so I'm not counting on the scales!
